Well friends, here we are! Thanksgiving is tomorrow and that means that the Holidays are officially here! I feel like the last bite of pumpkin pie at the end of Thanksgiving dinner officially says “Ok all you Christmas fanatics, you are free to prance about singing Christmas carols at the top of your lungs and throwing around magic Christmas cheer sparkle dust”. I mean… what? Who does that? …

Aaaanyways, now that I am blogging I decided to give myself a head start on my Christmas decor so that I could share some inspiration with you as you start preparing to deck your halls. I have teamed up with eight of my favorite blogger friends to bring you a Christmas Home Tour Blog Hop this week. Each of their blogs are linked at the end of this post, so grab your favorite cozy throw and a peppermint mocha, crank some Mariah Carey Christmas radio, and get ready for all of the gorgeous Christmas inspiration we have waiting for you!

I am so excited to share Part 1 of my Cozy Christmas Home Tour with you today! My style for Christmas decor is very much like my normal everyday style. I love the way it all blends seamlessly into my home as a result. I have created a cozy modern farmhouse Christmas style in my home with touches of glam, traditional pops of red, and lots of fresh, flowing greenery.

Nothing says cozy like a giant couch full of plush pillows and soft throws! Most of the pillows are from Target & HomeGoods, and the “Silent Night” pillows were a DIY. I just bought two super inexpensive plain linen pillow covers from Hobby Lobby and hand-lettered the words with a fabric paint pen. You can find my hand lettering tips and tricks HERE.

I am so impressed with Target’s pillow selection this season y’all! Those oversized red pillows and this faux fur lumbar pillow are all Target find. Let me tell you: they are my favorite ever! That faux fur is just about the softest thing I have ever touched. Like ever.

I kept my shelves over the couch simple, classic & neutral. I added in some fresh greenery, an olive bucket filled with faux flocked branches, DIY Noel letters, and a few ornaments.

My banisters are adorned with fresh, draped cedar and tied with gorgeous satin ivory bows. I just love the soft, elegant simplicity it adds to the space. This 18 ft fresh cedar garland is from Lynch Creek Farm and I split it up to use on all three of my banisters.

We don’t have a mantel so I decided to hang our stockings from our DIY Blanket Ladder this year. I love it!

How cute is this red ticking stripe pillow from Flat Creek Farmhouse on Etsy? Sarah does such beautiful work!

I made our stockings and tree skirt a few years ago, and I still love them to pieces.

One of my favorite traditions is going to cut down our Christmas tree as a family. We just cut this beauty down this past weekend and S was so excited to help pick out our tree this year. (I love that she is now at an age where she is starting to understand. She is already so into Christmas this year!)

My very favorite furniture piece, our World Market Sideboard turned media stand, got a little makeover with a pine garland, some festive candles, and a DIY sign with some of my favorite Christmas lyrics.

Our dining room stayed simple with my favorite copper candlesticks once again and a faux garland with some berries and fresh cedar sprigs tucked inside to give it that swoon-worthy Christmas smell.

I added a festive bow to my DIY Magnolia Wreath and hung it on my windmill clock from HomeGoods. It is such a fun focal point in this space!

Even my kitchen got a few festive touches of greenery, red berries, pine cones, and cinnamon sticks.

The sun started setting as I was finishing up my photos for this tour and I am kind of in love with the results. What is a Christmas Home tour without some twinkley glowing Christmas tree photos? Honestly, I would keep one of these beauties up all year if I could. So magical and inviting!

Christmas is truly my very favorite time of the year. Everything about it is magical, and I just adore the fresh, cozy feeling of our home during the holidays. I think I am most excited about just spending time with my loved ones in this cozy space all season long, enjoying all of the festivities together around the dinner table, cozying up by the twinkling lights of the Christmas tree, and seeing my daughter’s face as she runs down that greenery draped staircase on Christmas morning.

Stephanie I love all of your special touches! You made your stockings and tree skirt…say what?!? Wow so beautiful! This is only my 3rd Christmas with a staircase and I’m so inspired to do fresh garland instead of faux this year 🙂 🙂 xx
